This is Ruger's own 10-round .22 LR magazine for the Mark III 22/45 and 22/45 Lite pistols. Rimfire pistols tend to be picky about magazines because the thin rims of .22 LR cartridges can snag if the feed lips or spring are off, so a factory magazine is the reliable way to add capacity for range days, matches or small-game outings. Owners usually keep several on hand so they spend more time shooting and less time reloading.

• 10-Round Capacity — Holds ten .22 LR (Long Rifle) cartridges, the standard load for the 22/45 platform.
• Nickel-Finished Steel Body — The steel tube carries an electroless nickel (E-Nickel) finish, a plating that resists corrosion and helps cartridges slide smoothly as they feed.
• Side Load-Assist Button — A button on the follower rides in the side slot so you can pull the spring down with your thumb while dropping rounds in, which saves sore fingers on the last few cartridges.
• Full-Length Witness Slot — The long cutout down the side shows the follower position, giving a quick read on how much ammunition is left.
• Polymer Follower — The follower, the platform that pushes cartridges up toward the chamber, is molded polymer.
• Impact-Resistant Baseplate — The black polymer floorplate is shaped to the 22/45 grip and built to take the knocks of dropped magazines and hard seating.
• Steel Wire Spring — A steel wire spring supplies the feed pressure that lifts each round into position.
• Lightweight At 4 Ounces — At about 4 oz (113 g) empty, several spares add little weight to a range bag or pouch.

Fit And Compatibility

Sturm, Ruger & Co. makes this magazine for the Mark III 22/45 and Mark III 22/45 Lite pistols. It does not fit Mark II 22/45 models, so check your pistol's model marking before ordering. Because it comes from the pistol's maker, it matches the feed geometry and magazine catch the gun was designed around.
