Sabre Red Black Pepper Spray Keychain

Pocket Pepper Spray

This Sabre Red keychain canister puts a maximum strength red pepper spray on your keys, so it is in your hand when you reach the car, the front door or the trailhead. It measures 3.6 x 1 x 1 inches (about 9 x 2.5 x 2.5 cm), not counting the key ring, and fits a closed fist with the actuator under your thumb. A quick release ring lets you pull the spray free and leave the keys hanging. It suits anyone who wants a non-lethal self-defense option that is small enough to carry every day.

Features

• Maximum Strength Formula — The active ingredient is oleoresin capsicum (OC), the concentrated extract of red pepper that causes involuntary eye closure, facial burning and difficulty breathing.
• 10-Foot Stream Pattern — A focused stream reaches up to 10 feet (3 m), which keeps more distance between you and a threat than a bat or knife allows and is less affected by wind than a fog or cone spray.
• 25 Bursts — The 15-gram canister holds enough for multiple short bursts, so you can deal with more than one threat or fire a follow-up.
• UV Marking Dye — An ultraviolet dye in the spray leaves a mark on the person you hit that shows up under UV light and can help police identify them later.
• Twist-Lock Safety Top — A knurled wheel at the top rotates to lock and unlock the actuator, which helps prevent an accidental discharge in a pocket or bag.
• Ergonomic Finger Grip — Molded finger grooves along the case orient the canister in your hand by feel, so you aim the nozzle forward without looking.
• Quick Release Key Ring — A two-piece clip separates with a pull, leaving your keys on one ring and the spray in your hand.
• Heat Tested, Lab Verified — Sabre tests its formula in its own HPLC lab (high-performance liquid chromatography, the method used to measure pepper strength) to confirm consistent strength in each canister.
• Made In The USA — The canister and packaging are made and printed in the United States by Security Equipment Corporation.

Use and Care

To deploy, unlock the top, put your thumb on the center of the actuator and spray from ear to ear across the eyes, then move away and call the police. Sabre recommends practicing outdoors and test firing a quick burst into the ground twice a year, and replacing the unit after any real use. Each canister is stamped with an expiration date, and it should not be stored above 120°F (50°C), so avoid leaving it on a dashboard in summer. The spray is for self-defense only, and carry and purchase are restricted in some states and aboard aircraft, so check the rules where you live and travel.
