A shemagh is a large square of cotton cloth, originally from the Middle East, that you wrap around your head, neck and face to keep out sun, sand, wind and dust. This Rothco version comes in olive drab and white, measures 42 x 42 inches and weighs about 4.66 ounces. Military personnel and outdoor users carry one because a single piece of fabric can do the work of a face mask, neck gaiter and head cover, and it packs down to almost nothing.
