This Shemagh (GI style scarf) is a great item. It was exactly what I wanted, a decent price, a quality item. My husband loves his Shemagh and it's just a really cool piece of equipment. This has the nicest and more versatile pattern, great value.

These shemaghs have the potential to go from looking nice and fashionable to looking pretty trashy, even downright grungy, if not properly cared for. These shemaghs are no exception. That being said, the pre-shrinking that Rothco does on them at least reduces some of the damage you might do to it yourself, or which may happen due to it's lightweight nature. Proper laundering, careful use, avoiding abrasive cleaning cloths and abrasive fabric softeners are all important for the health of the fabric and your comfort in wearing it. There are no tags on the shemaghs, which makes them look cool, but if they are going to be kept as anything other than novelty items, then a tag will need to be added to make identification easy, and it would be good to include on the tag a description of what exactly the material is made of. In this case, it is mostly cotton, but has a little polyester blend in it, which is one reason why it is more lightweight and not as thick as the other shemaghs I own. Also note that when these do get really grungy, due to long use, that the fabric becomes difficult to get white and the material takes some damage, which means holes and tears, if you attempt to launder them in the home washer. If you do have holes, rips, or the fabric gets damaged, the most economical way to get them back into usable shape is to go to an Army/Navy surplus store and get it sewn up. A skilled tailor can sew them back together in such a way that it looks new, if done correctly.

It's a gift for someone, so I don't know. Very comfy. Not scratchy, and looks good too. Great in the cold winter days. And can protect you in sandstorm.

I just love these scarves! So easy to use in any type of environment. Nice to be cold and just tie one of these around your neck. You will find them useful in hot sun as a head scarf. You can tie them as neck bandaneras. Very nice looking! Warm and cold protection! I got the color OD green which I would highly recommend to anybody, its really bright and it stands out very nicely in any outfit. Love them!

The color of the Shemagh looked a bit brighter than I expected, however, this has no impact on its performance.

This is my second one I bought and it works great.

This was my first time ordering this type of product and I am happy to say it exceeded my expectations. It's a great quality scarf and fits perfectly around your neck. The only downside would be that it's not very thick so you may want to order one in the winter or if you live in cold climates. Overall though I highly recommend this item.
