The shemagh is a square cotton scarf worn across the Middle East and later adopted by soldiers serving there. It wraps around the head, face and neck to keep off sun, wind and blowing dust. This Rothco version comes in red and white and works as field gear for hunters, hikers and range shooters, or as an everyday scarf.

Cotton Construction

The scarf is woven from cotton with the pattern built into the weave, a white end panel beyond the border bands, and a knotted fringe along the edge. It is a commercial Rothco product and not issued surplus. There is no sizing to choose: one square scarf folds and ties to suit any wearer.
