Description
Features
- Covert Boot Lace Concealment — Mounts to the aglet of any standard boot lace so the key rides openly on your boot without ever being recognized as one.
- Blackened Brass Construction — Solid brass body with a blackened finish resists corrosion and stays visually inconspicuous against dark laces and footwear.
- 0.75-Inch Overall Length — Compact key profile keeps the device the size of a typical lace tip, eliminating obvious tells.
- Included Black Rubber Cover — Slip-on rubber sleeve further disguises the key and protects it from dirt, snags, and impacts during daily wear.
- Rapid Deployment Method — Bend the knee sharply and the key drops straight into your hand whether standing, seated, or prone, even with hands cuffed behind the back.
- Self-Untying Tether System — As the foot returns to the ground, the lace unties and leaves you holding a tethered handcuff key ready for use.
- Fits Standard Boot Laces — Compatible with virtually any common round or flat lace; laces are not included so you can retain your existing footwear setup.
- Easy Pliers Installation — Crimps onto the lace tip in seconds using a standard pair of pliers, with printed directions included in the package.
- Made in the USA — Manufactured domestically by Shomer-Tec, a long-standing supplier of specialized escape, evasion, and security tools.

Clever design but practice makes perfectPicked this up after seeing it on a few prepper forums. The concept is actually slick it sits on your bootlace near the tip and you're supposed to be able to grab it by bending your knee up. I tested it at home (not in cuffs obviously lol) and the motion works but takes some practice. The blackened brass is decent quality, nice and small at 0.75". Installation was easy with just pliers like the directions say. My only real gripe is that the rubber cover is kinda thin and popped off once when I was messing with it. I also grabbed the Shomer-Tec composite covert key to compare that one's non-metallic so it might be better if you're worried about metal detectors, but this boot lace version is way more hidden in plain sight.
Extremely concealable on a boot
Solid brass build,Simple installationRubber cover could be thicker
Takes practice to retrieve under stress
