bought this for my teen son. i was pleased to see it is comfortable and he will wear it all the time, which i was worried about since its one of those thick rubber neck-type collars like a neck guard for basketball players.

Bought this neck protector. U can feel it when u run. Doesnt really hurt to get shot on. This neck protector covers ur neck really good and doesent let paint get in. BUT if u get shot in th throat this neck protector doesnt help... Good protector tho... Does help with your shot.. Bcoz if u dont have neck protector paint goes right to throat.. Good investment.. Especially if u play outside. Wont protect your shot 100%. But definitely helps to a certain percentage. A GREAT CHEAP PROTECTOR FOR THOSE OF U who live outdoor park/woods etc.

It is not hard plastic

The protector is made out of a material that's not hard like plastic but it's a lot thicker. And it has a very weird material for your neck but it still fits perfectly and it is comfy. Definitely recommend. It is the only guard that doesn't sting your neck when playing paintball. This feels so good. Worth the price if it protects you from a neck shot. And the guard is a very deep red color. It looks good. It is easy to put on and it doesn't have a ton of Velcro that gets stuck to you. This is a much better product than other. Buy this one. I use to play and i'm buying one for my little brother. He plays more than me and is just 10 years old. It's a good product to last a while. I hope my old one doesn't wear out in 2 years. And this feels very lightweight. And no, i have not been shot in the neck so i can't review that. But my brothers and friends who wear it all say it feels like your normal neck when wearing this and doesn't sting at all. I also play with people who use homemade padded ones and this feels so much better than homemade pads. My team mates that wear homemade say this is way better than the homemade ones. My brother is the proof of that

Neck is your weak spot! BAM! Protect it!

Very lightweight and fits well underneath the vest. Comfortable and has good material quality. Definitely recommend it. I bought it for use in tactical airsoft and use of airsoft with AR platform weapons, for an extra precaution against getting the headshot, or accidentally getting shot by some dumb teenagers who think it's a cool way to play. Definitely not complaining, though.
