Stretch, Wrap, Tuck

The SWAT-T from H&H Medical is a non-pneumatic tourniquet, meaning it works by elastic tension rather than an inflatable cuff, built to stop severe traumatic bleeding until the casualty can be moved to a care facility. It is a single flat band of orange elastic that you stretch, wrap around the limb and tuck under itself. It has no windlass, buckle or strap. It packs flat enough for an IFAK (individual first aid kit), a range bag or a glovebox, and it doubles as a pressure dressing.

• Vacuum-Sealed Pouch — The tourniquet comes flat-packed in a sealed pouch printed with illustrated three-step instructions and usage warnings.
• Flat, Compact Profile — With no hard parts, it folds into small pouches and kits where a windlass tourniquet will not fit.

Packaging and Use

The packaging carries the application diagrams along with the manufacturer's warnings, including a 2-hour limit on how long the tourniquet should stay in place and a reminder to record the time of application. A trained medical professional should remove it. The band is printed with the directions "Stretch, Wrap, Tuck" and notes that it is primarily a tourniquet, with pressure dressing as a secondary use. Practice the application before you rely on it, the way the shooters in the training photo do.
