These are M83 field trousers, originally issued to the Swiss Armed Forces as standard field uniform pants. They are printed in Alpenflage, the Swiss alpine camouflage with its mix of red, green, tan and black shapes and small pale flecks. Collectors and reenactors want them for the genuine Swiss provenance, and outdoor users wear them because they are heavy, roomy field trousers with plenty of pocket space.
