Wife Ordered These For My Birthday..... I Actually Love Them??Okay so my wife saw these and thought 'Swiss Army = cool' and bought them for my 45th birthday even though I literally just got new sunglasses like 6 months ago. I was like... uh, thanks? But honestly? I've been wearing them almost exclusively since march The brown lenses make everything look warmer somehow? We went hiking in Colorado and they were so light I forgot I had them on - the package says 0.7oz and I believe it. The little neck cord thing that comes with them is actually super handy when you're taking photos and don't want to lose your shades. My buddy who collects military stuff recognized the Suvasol name immediately and was kind of jealous. Apparently these are real-deal Swiss military surplus not some knockoff. Only thing is they feel a little 'surplus-y' if that makes sense... like the finish isn't glossy retail-store perfect but who cares. My wife is now bragging that she 'gets' tactical gear lol. Anyway gonna order a second pair for her before our next trip cause she keeps stealing mine.
Super lightweight, forget you're wearing them, Neck cord actually useful, Brown tint is weirdly pleasant, Wife approved the look
Finish is matte/surplus style not glossy retail

Insane value for legit Swiss qualityOkay so I was not expecting much for thirteen bucks but these genuinely surprised me. They are stupid light like you barely feel them on your face which is great because I wear sunglasses pretty much all day when im hiking or fishing. The brown lenses are actually really nice for contrast, everything looks crisp and I noticed way less eye strain on my last trip compared to my old gas station sunglasses. The fact that these are real Swiss military surplus and block 100% of UV rays for this price is honestly kind of insane. The little lanyard is a nice bonus too because ive lost more sunglasses than I want to admit.
Incredibly lightweight at less than an ounce so you can wear them all day without any pressure on your nose or ears
Brown lenses actually enhance contrast and reduce glare really well for driving and outdoor activitiesDoesn't come with any kind of carrying case or pouch so you have to be careful throwing them in a bag

A good valueThe sunglasses are a good protective value with good optics. The rubber ear pieces were gummy and disintegrating when I received them. Replacement with silicone tubing (1 mm inner diameter and 3 mm OD) from Amaon was simple with the threaded end piece on the metal frame. Not Oakleys (for $190), nor Zeal Optics for $130 which had lenses that scaled off coating in a week. Both overpriveed and over rated sunglasses in my opinion, and inferior to the $13 pair I use now.
Cost, Quality
Rubber part is decomposing, but easily and inexpensively replaced.

Useful, disposable equipment. If you are a pro, you won't be seen in them: If you need them, you shall use them. They are better than nothing, that is for sure. These sunglasses are adequate, inexpensive, and provide the basic functions as described. They are by no means "high quality" in performance. They are "basic" equipment for a reasonable price. I do not expect them to last forever. I bought two pairs and hope that, in due course of use, the second pair will come in handy when the time comes. One thing I shall mention is that these are intended for someone with a somewhat smaller head. They are not at all suitable for a larger-headed person and are "doubtful" for a medium-sized-headed person. Large head? - forget it! So, cheap, basic, and valuable, and when they are "done," they shall have been adequate to the immediate task, and when they are done, it shall have been no significant loss.
