The Taurus 1911 is a full-size, all-steel-pattern single-action pistol chambered in .45 ACP, built on John Browning's century-old 1911 design. It suits shooters who want the classic 1911 manual of arms, with a crisp single-action trigger and a thumb safety, plus the upgrades most owners would otherwise add themselves. Expect enhanced sights, slide serrations front and rear, and an extended beavertail as delivered.

Build And Markings

This pistol follows the standard 1911 layout, so holsters, grips and many controls cut for the full-size 1911 pattern are a reasonable starting point, though fit should be checked part by part. The frame is marked Made in Brazil on the left and Taurus Int. Mfg., Miami, FL, USA on the right, and the slide carries the 1911 and .45 ACP roll marks. The magazine has a bumper pad on its base to help it seat fully and protect it if dropped during a reload.
