The Taurus 1911 is a full-size, single-action .45 ACP pistol built on a forged steel frame and slide with a 5-inch hammer-forged barrel and 8+1 capacity. It ships loaded with the upgrades most shooters add aftermarket — Novak-style drift-adjustable 3-dot sights, ambidextrous thumb safety, extended beavertail, skeletonized hammer and trigger, and a lowered/flared ejection port. The checkered rubber grips and 38 oz steel weight tame recoil and keep follow-up shots fast. Almost PerfectIf I could give 4.9 stars for value I would. The ONLY thing this gun is missing is a rail, but for carry and target, no rail is really not that big of a deal. I love it and the price is great.

My Daily Carry Has It AllI carry the Taurus 1911 everyday and trust it with my life. I have found it to be a unbeatable value in that in addition to it's description, it comes from the factory with a trigger job and adjustable trigger. It's a very nice trigger job that is solid, breaks cleanly with absolutely no creep. It has a hand fitted barrel bushing polished feed ramp and a full length guide rod and comes with Novak sights for unequaled accuracy right out of the box. They actually match each slide with every lower to eliminate any play. The beavertail extended grip safety and skeletonized hammer along with ambidextrous safety as well as an extended magazine release make this a 1911 that lacks nothing and has everything any high end 1911 would have. don't pay too much for a .45 with all these features or go buy a cheap Armscor and a bunch of parts for it that still won't make it as accurate or have the hand matched parts that make the Taurus the gun that it is.A great target gun and excellent carry gun you can depend on. With the Taurus 1911 you get a high end shooter without the high end price.
