So much lighter than cotton do rags. I bought 2, because the color scheme was cool and they felt so nice to wear, and they did a good job keeping the sweat out of my eyes. And yes, there are cooler designs available, if one wants to spend more. So far, I like these very much, and plan to buy more. Update - these held up great during one summer of wearing and washing them, until the strap started fraying at the edges. I was using them to wear during exercise, with a hair-net on top, which I think may have done the damage, by being so thick and heavy on top. I would still buy them again, for they are cool, comfortable, well made, and fit well, with a reasonable price. I just may look for other designs now. I do not plan to cut off the ties that are left on the ones I have, because that seems too much trouble, but if one needs to cut them off, you can find videos online that will tell you how. Update 2 - bought more. The only thing that I don't like about these new ones, is that the color is different from the previous set. This new set seems to be a darker shade, with a little more purple in it. The strap is thinner than the ones on the original set, which I hope means it will last longer. Time will tell.
