UV Tracking Flashlight
The United Tactical UV Tracking Flashlight puts out ultraviolet light, often called black light, which makes many stains, markings and materials glow so you can see things that are invisible under normal light. Shine it on carpet and bedding to find pet urine and other stains, check the security features on banknotes and ID cards, or sweep it over the ground at night to spot scorpions. It suits homeowners, pet owners, travelers checking a hotel room, and anyone who works with fluorescent paint or UV resin.
Features
- Multi-LED Ultraviolet Head — A wide head packed with a dense array of UV LEDs throws a broad flood of black light rather than a narrow spot.
- Stain And Fluid Detection — Pet urine and similar stains fluoresce under the beam, so you can find the exact spot on carpet, floors or bedding before you clean.
- Currency And ID Checks — UV-reactive security strips and inks on banknotes and ID cards show up clearly, which helps you spot a fake.
- Scorpion And Insect Spotting — Scorpions and some caterpillars glow under ultraviolet light, making them easy to find around a campsite, yard or woodpile after dark.
- UV Resin And Black Light Paint — Use it to cure small UV resin pieces or to light up fluorescent artwork and decorations.
- Side Push-Button Switch — A button on the body just behind the head turns the light on and off with your thumb.
- Knurled Grip — The handle carries a fine crosshatch texture, called knurling, that gives a sure hold with wet or gloved hands.
- Wrist Lanyard — A woven strap attached to the tail cap loops over your wrist so the light stays with you if it slips out of your hand.
- Removable Battery Carrier — The tail cap unscrews to release a cartridge that holds the batteries, so changing cells takes seconds.
Build And Power
The housing is a black metal tube with a flared head, threaded tail cap and the United Tactical logo on the grip. Power comes from a separate multi-cell battery carrier that slides into the handle, with a spring contact in the tail cap to keep the cells seated. The head and body are a single compact unit with nothing to assemble beyond loading the batteries.

actually so cool for finding pet stainsThis thing is super cool. i didnt even know i needed a uv flashlight until i got this United Tactical one but now i use it for basically everything. my cat was peeing somewhere and i couldnt find it, turned off the lights and boom there it was on the rug (gross but kinda satisfying). its insanely bright for a 51-led light and the aluminum feels solid not cheap at all. runs on AA batteries which is way better than those weird ones you can never find. only thing is it gets a little warm after using it for a while but not a big deal. definately worth the money if you got pets or just wanna feel like a detective

Great item - buy 3UV lights have lots of uses and many configurations. Commonly they come in single Cobb LEDs, 6, 9, 14, 21 LED and this one. The prices range from $5 to spend whatever you have. THIS is a great buy. 51 LEDs for $8 is amazing, 51 LEDs for $13 is still a great deal. If you use glow in the dark tape to mark objects, this lights them up for all night in a couple of seconds. If you are staying in a motel, you NEED this. Wonder if you have mouse, scorpion etc issues, you're covered. Track your game after nightfall or in dark forest, done. 2 is 1, 1 is none. Buy three.
Price range, coverage area, intensity, usefulness.
It isn't free. Rechargeable would be nice, but price would go way up.

Great portable UV lightFor anyone who had a room mate with a black light, this will be a blast from the past. For anyone looking for a very affordable, good quality UV light, you won't do better than this. I've put two through the paces and I'm very pleased with them. Switches are good, light is more than adequate and they get the job done. Hard to describe, but the beam is both wide and yet focused, you can really notice things on the edge, then focus on them by centering the beam.
3 AA batteries to power it (not included) instead of specialized batteries like others I've used. Good power, durable.
