US Army Tactical Chemical Light Case Shield

Light Discipline Case

This US Army chemical light case shield is a hard plastic tube that holds a standard 6-inch chemical light stick, often called a glow stick or ChemLight. Light discipline means controlling how much light you show so you are not visible to anyone you would rather not be seen by. Turning the outer sleeve opens or closes a long window, so you decide when the light is visible and how much of it shows. It also protects the light stick from knocks and bending in a pack, on a vest or clipped to a strap.

Features

• Fits 6-Inch Light Sticks — The tube is sized for the standard 6-inch chemical light used across military and outdoor kit.
• Rotating Window Shutter — Turn the outer sleeve to line its slot up with the inner window for full light, or turn it away to block the light completely.
• Two-Piece Construction — An inner carrier holds the light stick, and an outer sleeve slides over it and rotates to work as the shutter.
• High-Impact Plastic Body — The rigid molded tube surrounds the light stick so it is not crushed or snapped by accident.
• Integral Side Clip — A flat molded clip along the body slips over a strap, belt or pocket edge to keep the case where you can reach it.
• Molded Head Collar — The head end has a vented cap and a split collar molded into the case.
• OD Green Finish — Olive drab, the Army's standard field color, so the case blends in with other issued gear.
• NSN 6260-01-196-0637 — The National Stock Number is the catalog code the military uses to identify and order this exact item.
