US Military Entrenching Tool Pouch

Army E-Tool Carrier

This is the US Army's carrier for the folding entrenching tool, the compact shovel soldiers use to dig fighting positions, clear brush and set up camp. The spade-shaped body follows the outline of the folded tool, so the shovel sits snug instead of rattling around in a loose bag. It suits anyone who carries an e-tool on a belt or pack, as well as collectors and reenactors building out an Army Combat Uniform era loadout.

Features

• Genuine US Army Issue — Originally made for the US military, not a commercial copy of the design.
• UCP Digital Camouflage — The Universal Camouflage Pattern, the pixelated gray, tan and green scheme printed on the Army Combat Uniform, covers the whole pouch.
• Shaped E-Tool Body — The tapered, rounded bottom matches the profile of a folded entrenching tool blade.
• Full-Coverage Top Flap — A wide flap closes over the opening to hold the tool in and keep debris out.
• Quick-Release Buckle — A foliage-green clip on the front strap opens with one hand when you need the tool fast.
• Adjustable Closure Strap — The webbing strap runs through a slider so you can tighten the flap against the tool inside.
• Bound Edges — Fabric binding along the flap and seams finishes the edges and reinforces them.
• Pouch Only — The carrier is supplied without an entrenching tool.

Issue Specification

The pouch belongs to the Army's MOLLE load-carrying system, short for Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment, which lets soldiers mount pouches on vests, belts and packs in whatever layout the job calls for. The UCP print and foliage-green hardware place it in the period when the Army Combat Uniform was standard issue. Because it was built to the Army's own requirements, it pairs naturally with other issue gear from the same era and gives a reenactor or collector authentic kit in place of a lookalike.
