Description
US Issue E-Tool Carrier
This is a US military case for the folding shovel, the compact entrenching tool (E-tool) troops carry for digging fighting positions, clearing ground and general camp work. A folded shovel has hard, sharp edges, and this rigid shell keeps them covered so the tool rides on your belt or pack without cutting into gear or snagging. It suits anyone who already owns a folding shovel, along with collectors and reenactors building out an authentic load.
Features
- Molded Rigid Shell — The case is formed from stiff molded material in a spade shape that follows the outline of a folded shovel head.
- OD Green Finish — The color is olive drab (OD) green, the standard US military field color, so it matches other issue webbing and packs.
- Two-Snap Closure Flap — A top flap closes over the handle opening with two black snap fasteners to hold the tool in place.
- ALICE-Type Slide Clips — Two metal slide-keeper clips on the back lock onto the belt or pack webbing used by ALICE, the US Army's All-purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment system.
- Drain Holes — Five open holes through the front let water and loose dirt fall out instead of collecting around the blade.
- Reinforcing Ribs — Raised molded ribs run down the front face and stiffen the shell against flexing.
- Low-Profile Shape — The flat back sits close to the belt or pack, so the carrier does not stick out far from your body.
- Genuine US Issue — This is original US Army carrying equipment, not a commercial copy.
Built To Army Pattern
The case was made to the US Army's own design for carrying the folding shovel in the field, and its hardware shows it. The slide clips hook behind belt or pack webbing and lock down, which keeps the carrier from bouncing loose when you move. The shovel itself is not included, so pair the case with a folding entrenching tool you already have.
