great product

Just like my old one, a piece of pure New England and US Government issued nostalgia, now found only on our ancestors who were veterans. This replacement is exactly the same. It's thinner and thus a bit smaller but it fits and functions. There's no such product today, but the govt. issues watch cap was a godsend to me during cold nights and a few blustery days during winter and spring hunting and fishing. I'm gonna order a back up for when this gets worn.

Well worth the price

My husband needed a watch cap for this winter. It's not terribly cold here yet, but windy, windy wind! I've been looking for a replacement to the old one he had for decades, but all I could find were nylon ones. He won't wear nylon, but wool felt was an option. He loves it. And I love knowing he's not exposed to the wind and snow...well you know, no-no's to face in weather this nasty. Thank you, thank you!

Keeps my noggin warm and is a great price

The first review by Amretirees01 stated that it was thin, that is a true statement but not necessarily a bad one, if you have been away from the Military for some time then this type of cap is all you need. When you wear this type of cap for any amount of time you find that it is itchy and you start removing it, with that you will pull out your beard and when that happens, you have lost all use of the hat, it is too hot for a beard. If you do not have a beard you will have the same problem but it will be a longer time. Now as for how it works. It does work and if it is windy it is warm, if it is very cold you may find it tight on your head. This will depend on the type of head gear you wear, a fitted ball cap or cap with elastic will work better, this hat will work with just about any other cap you wear. As to the one stated above that it was a Christmas present that the person received the item late in the season, no excuse there, if you know you will receive something at a specific time you need to make sure you get all the supplies you need to make the season work for you. Just think what we would do if it was like Christmas at Easter time, nothing! Thank you
