Rothco's Vintage Vietnam Ripstop Fatigue Pants are a civilian reproduction of the trousers US troops wore in Vietnam, cut to the pattern of the original military fatigue pant. They are made of lightweight, breathable cotton that holds up to brush, gravel and daily wear. Reenactors, collectors and anyone who wants a hard-wearing work or field pant with a genuine surplus look will find them useful.

• 100% Cotton Ripstop — The fabric is woven with a reinforcing grid, so a small snag stays small and does not run into a long tear.
• Garment-Washed Finish — Each pair is washed after sewing, which softens the cotton and gives it the faded, broken-in look of issued surplus.
• Six Pockets — The pants have two slanted front pockets, two cargo pockets on the thighs and two flapped rear pockets.
• Bellows Cargo Pockets — The thigh pockets have pleated sides that expand to hold bulkier items, and a button-down flap keeps the contents in.
• Button-Flap Rear Pockets — Both back pockets close with a flap, so a wallet or notebook stays put when you kneel or climb.
• Adjustable Waist Tabs — Buckled side tabs cinch the waistband for a closer fit, with or without a belt.
• Zipper Fly — A zip fly with a button closure at the waistband follows the layout of the military original.
• Olive Drab Color — The pants come in the muted green worn by US forces through the Vietnam era.

Fabric And Fit

Rothco modeled these pants on Vietnam-era military fatigue specifications, including the pocket layout and waist tabs. The all-cotton ripstop is light enough for hot weather and resists abrasion better than plain-weave cotton of a similar weight. Because the pants are garment-washed, they feel worn in from the first wear instead of stiff off the shelf.
