My 13 year old son LOVES this hat. I got it for him as he wears my hubby's all the time! I wanted him to have his own, as the hubby wears the one I got for my boy so much that it was falling apart and the hubby was starting to feel resentful of my "spoiling" the boy so much! So, I decided to buy a couple more for the boys, and boy am I glad I did. This one fit perfect, as my hubby's did. He says he can feel the breeze better than with some of the others he has, which I like! And, as my hubby's have shown, they are well made, and this was not a cheap hat, for the price. Very good! He wore this everywhere, as soon as he got it. Great quality! He loves his. Would recommend to a friend.

The only thing I don't like about it is the ventilator eyelets on the top and sides. Not a big deal. I don't see any reason why you would buy this hat if your looking for sun protection from UV radiation and dust particles. It's primary purpose is as an outdoors type military style hat and that's what it's good at. You can even tie down the edges if the headsize you choose isn't exact.
