Wallet-Sized Survival Kit

The Readyman Wilderness Survival Card 2.0 is a flat metal card the shape of a credit card, with a set of field tools cut into it. Fishing hooks, an arrowhead, sewing needles, saw edges and several other pieces sit inside the card, held by small tabs until you break them free. It fits in a wallet, a pack lid pocket or a bug-out bag, so it can stay with you on every trip without taking up space.

Features

• Nine Fishing Hooks — Four single hooks and five double hooks, each with an eye at the shank for tying on line.
• Arrowhead — A broad, pointed head with a drilled tang that can be lashed to the end of a straight shaft.
• Saw Blade — One long piece carries coarse, deep teeth along one edge and a fine serration along the other, with a hole at each end.
• Three-Prong Barbed Frame — Three barbed points rise from a common drilled base, which also has a serrated lower edge.
• Barbed Cross Piece — A drilled center spine with barbed arms at both ends, built to be lashed onto a pole.
• Serrated Blade Strip — A narrow pointed strip with a serrated edge and a slot at one end for lashing or holding.
• Two Sewing Needles — Small eyed needles for repairing clothing, gear or netting in the field.
• Four Drilled Plates — Two small and two large oval plates, each with a pattern of holes for running cord.
• Lanyard Holes — Holes at the top corners of the card let you tie it to a cord or clip it inside a kit.

How the Card Works

Every tool is cut from a single sheet and held in place by thin tabs, so the card stays flat and rigid until you need a part. Break out only what the job calls for and leave the rest attached for later. Each piece carries the Readyman name, and the drilled holes on the arrowhead, frame and cross piece give you anchor points for lashing them to a shaft with cord or wire.
