Winchester Q1544 Military-Grade Buckshot

12 Gauge 00 Buckshot

Winchester Q1544 Military-Grade Buckshot is a 12 gauge defensive load intended for personal protection. Each 2.75-inch shell carries nine 00 buckshot pellets. 00 is pronounced "double-aught" and is one of the largest standard buckshot sizes. Shooters keep it in home-defense pumps and semi-autos where a short-range, multi-projectile load is the goal.

Features

• 12 Gauge, 2.75-Inch Shell — The standard 12 gauge length, which chambers in any 12 gauge shotgun marked for 2.75-inch or longer shells.
• Nine 00 Buckshot Pellets — Every hull is printed "9 PEL 00 BUCK," so the load is identifiable even after the shells leave the box.
• Buffered Shot Column — A granular filler packed around the pellets cushions them on firing, which helps them keep their round shape and fly in a tighter pattern.
• 1,325 FPS Muzzle Velocity — The pellets leave the barrel at a rated 1,325 feet per second.
• OD Green Ribbed Hull — The olive drab plastic hull has a ribbed surface and a crimped, folded closure at the mouth.
• Winchester Headstamp — The metal base carries a Winchester 12 GA headstamp around the primer.
• Five-Round Kraft Box — Rounds come five to a plain, military-style cardboard box printed with the count, gauge and shot size, with the box weighing 8.32 oz in total.
• Made In The USA — The ammunition is produced in the United States by Winchester, and the box is marked Olin Corporation.

Fit And Construction

This is a 2.75-inch 12 gauge shell, so it suits the large majority of pump-action and semi-automatic 12 gauge shotguns. Check the chamber length stamped on your barrel before buying. The side panel of the box reads "Military Grade MG Buck" and carries the Q1544 product code, which makes restocking the same load straightforward. The five-round box is small enough to keep alongside a defensive shotgun or drop into a range bag.
