Yugo M53 Starter Tab
The Yugo M53 Starter Tab is the original stamped-steel leader tab used to feed 50-round non-disintegrating ammunition belts into the Yugoslav M53 (Sarac) and German MG42-pattern machine guns. Each original Yugoslav 250-round ammo can included one of these tabs, and they remain the correct part for running belts through the MG34, MG42, MG3, MG1, MG74, and M53 in both 8mm Mauser and 7.62 NATO. The tab clips to the lead end of the belt, giving the feed pawls something to grab so the first rounds pull cleanly into the action. A must-have for collectors, semi-auto belt-fed builders, and reenactors completing a period-correct setup.
