Ammo Inc. Stelth 45 ACP Ammo Subsonic 230 Grain FMJ

Subsonic .45 ACP Ammo

Ammo Inc. Stelth is .45 ACP ammunition built for suppressed shooting. The 230 grain bullet leaves the muzzle at a nominal 757 feet per second, below the speed of sound, so it makes no supersonic crack downrange and the suppressor can do its job. It suits shooters running a can on a .45 pistol or carbine who want quieter range sessions and less fouling in the suppressor.

Features

• .45 ACP Caliber — Chambered for .45 ACP, also marked .45 Auto on the box, the cartridge used in 1911-pattern and other .45 pistols.
• 230 Grain Bullet — The heavy 230 grain weight is the traditional .45 ACP load and keeps velocity naturally low without special powder tuning.
• Total Metal Case Construction — Marked TMC on the box, the copper jacket covers the base of the bullet as well as the nose, so no exposed lead meets hot propellant gas.
• Subsonic Velocity — Rated at a nominal 757 feet per second, well under the speed of sound, with no sonic crack to undo the suppressor's work.
• 293 Foot-Pounds Of Energy — Nominal muzzle energy is 293 ft-lb, which tells you how hard the round hits.
• Hyperclean Technology — The box lists Ammo Inc.'s Hyperclean technology, which the maker credits with slowing baffle erosion inside the suppressor.
• Reduced Lead Emissions — The enclosed bullet base helps cut the airborne lead that builds up on indoor ranges.
• Brass Cased Centerfire — Boxer-style brass cases feed and extract the way .45 shooters expect.
• 50 Rounds Per Box — Packed 50 cartridges to a box with a pull-out tray.

Load And Case Details

Stelth is made in the USA by AMMO Incorporated. The .45 ACP runs below the speed of sound with a 230 grain bullet, so the maker designed this load around that natural velocity instead of downloading powder, which helps the round cycle reliably. The total metal case bullet and brass case are suited to both suppressed and unsuppressed pistols, though the load was designed with the suppressor shooter in mind.
