A2-Style Rear Sight

The NcStar MARDRS puts a carry-handle style rear sight back on a flattop AR-15, the type of upper with a flat accessory rail on top instead of a fixed handle. It gives you a primary iron sight on a rifle that has no optic, or a backup sight that stays put if your optic fails. It fits AR-15, M4 and M16 flattop uppers.

Features

• Dual Flip Apertures — Two peep holes sit back to back: the larger one for fast close-range shooting and the smaller one for precise long-range aim, and you flip between them by hand.
• Click-Adjustable Windage — A knurled side knob marked with an R arrow moves the aperture left or right in audible clicks, so you can count corrections when zeroing.
• Elevation Drum — A numbered drum under the aperture raises or lowers it to adjust for distance and bullet drop.
• Picatinny And Weaver Mounting — The base clamps to Picatinny or Weaver rails, the slotted accessory rails found on flattop uppers and many handguards.
• Steel Thumb Nut Clamp — A large knurled thumb nut and steel rail clamp tighten by hand to lock the sight to the receiver.
• Fixed Upright Design — The sight stays upright at all times, unlike a folding backup sight, so it is ready the moment you need it.
• Anodized Aluminum And Steel — The body is solid aluminum with an anodized finish, a hard oxide layer that resists wear and corrosion, paired with steel hardware.
• Compact Footprint — At 2.7 inches long and 5.1 ounces, it leaves rail space ahead of it for a red dot, reflex or holographic optic.

Fit And Construction

The MARDRS is designed for flattop AR-15, M4 and M16 upper receivers and mounts at the rear of the top rail, where a carry handle sight would sit. Because the thumb nut tightens by hand, you can install or move it without tools. The aluminum body and steel controls are finished in black to match a standard AR upper.
