Folding Rear Backup Sight

The NcStar AR-15 Rear Flip-Up Sight gives a flat-top rifle a set of iron sights that fold out of the way when you are running an optic. Flip it up and you have a working rear aperture for when a red dot dies, a scope gets knocked off zero, or you just want to shoot irons. It suits AR owners building a first rifle or adding a backup iron sight (BUIS) to an optics-equipped setup.

• Flip-Up Design — The sight leaf pivots on a hinge pin so it lies low when stowed and stands upright when you need it.
• Dual Peep Apertures — Two rear apertures sit on the leaf, and you rotate between them to change the sight picture for different distances or light.
• Windage Adjustment Knob — A knurled knob marked with an "R" arrow and index lines moves the aperture left or right, so you can correct for horizontal point of impact while zeroing.
• Windage Reference Scale — Hash marks on the aperture housing let you see where the aperture sits and return to a known setting.
• UP/DN Elevation Screw — A slotted screw with engraved UP and DN arrows raises or lowers the aperture to set vertical zero.
• Picatinny Rail Clamp — The base clamps to a Picatinny rail, the slotted mounting rail found on flat-top AR-15 uppers, and locks down with a hex screw.

Mounting and Fit

This sight is for AR-15 rifles with a flat-top upper receiver or any other platform with a Picatinny rail at the rear. Slide the base onto the rail and tighten the hex screw. For a full sight picture, pair it with a front sight post, either a fixed front sight or a rail-mounted unit. Zero with the windage knob and elevation screw at the range.
