5 years and still my go-toI've been using BCB survival matches for like 5 years now, I keep a tin in my truck, one in my camping kit, and one in the kitchen drawer for lighting the grill when its windy. Honestly these are the best. I tried the cheap orange lifeboat matches from the surplus store and they were garbage, half of them broke and the flame was weak. These BCB ones are thick, the heads are varnished so they dont crumble. I've had a tin in my glovebox for 2 years and they still light first strike. The container is bombproof, I've dropped it in a creek and it floated and stayed dry inside. For the price, its a steal compared to buying those fancy ferro rod setups that take practice. I just ordered another tin for my brother's emergency kit.
