These things actually work in the rainOkay so I was skeptical. Ive bought "waterproof" matches before and they were a joke. These are not. Took them on a 4-day backpacking trip in the Cascades and it rained basically the whole time. Dropped one in a puddle by accident, fished it out, struck it, lit on the second try. I actually laughed out loud. The tube is solid too, ABS plastic feels like it could survive a drop off a cliff, and the o-ring seal is legit, not just some cheap cap that pops off. Each match burns for like 20-25 seconds which gives you plenty of time to get tinder going even in wind. Only gripe is you only get 20 matches per kit so I ordered two just to have a backup set.
