Desert DPM Windproof Smock
This is the British Army windproof smock in desert camouflage, a hooded field jacket built to block wind and carry kit on the body. A smock is the British term for a longer, loose-cut combat jacket worn over shirts and layers, and this one reaches the hips to cover the waist. It is genuine government-issue clothing, so collectors, reenactors and outdoor users get the real article rather than a commercial copy.

- Large Lower Pockets — Two deep bellows-style pockets at the hips have button-down flaps and room for gloves or a hat.
- Adjustable Cuffs — Tabs at the wrists let you tighten the sleeves over gloves or loosen them for ventilation.
- Cotton-Polyester Blend — The fabric mixes cotton for comfort and breathability with polyester for strength and quicker drying.
- Long Smock Cut — The hip-length body sits lower than a standard jacket and gives room to layer underneath.
British Army Issue
Each smock was produced for the British Army to its own specification, not for the civilian market. The cotton and polyester construction, the buttoned pocket flaps and the drawcord hood follow the issued pattern. Some examples carry sleeve insignia such as a Union flag patch, and markings vary from unit to unit.
