Camillus Ravenous Tomahawk

The Ravenous is a tomahawk, a light one-handed axe with a cutting blade on the front and a spike on the back. Camillus built it for camp chores, trail work and kit bags where a full-size axe is too much to carry. The axe edge handles splitting kindling and clearing small branches, and the rear spike gives you a point for prying, piercing or breaking through. It comes with a fitted black nylon sheath, so it can ride in a pack or vehicle without an exposed edge.

Features

• Flared Axe Blade — The curved front edge widens out from a notched neck, giving a broad cutting face for chopping and splitting.
• Rear Spike — A pointed, sharpened spike opposite the blade gives you a second tool for piercing, prying and digging into tough material.
• Black Coated Head — The head is finished in a matte black coating marked "Camillus Titanium," with a bright bevel along the cutting edge.
• Torx Screw Assembly — Four Torx screws (the star-shaped heads that resist stripping) lock the head into the handle.
• Molded Synthetic Handle — The black handle carries a molded Camillus logo and covers the area where the head meets the haft.
• Diamond-Textured Grip — A raised diamond pattern along the lower handle gives your hand purchase when it is wet, cold or gloved.
• Lanyard Hole — A hole through the butt of the handle takes a wrist lanyard or paracord loop.
• Nylon Sheath Included — A black nylon sheath covers the blade and spike and closes with two snap straps around the handle.
• Grommeted Sheath Corners — Metal eyelets at the edges of the sheath let you lash it to a pack, belt or vehicle mount with cord or ties.

Build and Carry

The Ravenous is all black, from the coated head to the synthetic handle and nylon sheath, so it shows little glare in the field. The head sits between handle scales fixed with four screws, and the grip section is shaped and textured for a one-handed hold. With the sheath snapped closed, both the blade and the spike are covered for transport.
