Blackhawk
Tactical Gear Since 1993
Founded in 1993 by former Navy SEAL Mike Noell, Blackhawk grew from a garage workbench into one of the biggest names in tactical equipment. At Keep Shooting we carry a cross-section of the line: S.T.R.I.K.E. MOLLE pouches, a coyote-tan gas mask carrier, the recoil-taming Knoxx SpecOps stock for the Remington 870, a Glock training gun, and a subdued American flag patch — the kind of gear that earns its keep on a duty rig.
About Blackhawk
Blackhawk is one of the most recognizable names in tactical equipment, and the selection at Keep Shooting shows its range — from MOLLE tactical gear and patches to a recoil-reducing shotgun stock. Five Blackhawk SKUs, each built for hard use.
From a Navy SEAL’s Garage
Blackhawk was started in 1993 by Mike Noell, a former member of SEAL Team 4. The origin story is famous in the industry: in the first Gulf War his pack split open along a seam while he was crossing a minefield, scattering his gear at the worst possible moment. He came home, enrolled in a Navy rigger’s course to learn how to build and repair load-bearing equipment, and started making gear that wouldn’t fail. From that garage operation Blackhawk grew into one of the largest tactical companies in the world — known for its SERPA holsters and Knoxx recoil-reducing stocks — before being acquired in 2010 and folded into the Vista Outdoor family. The thread that runs through all of it is gear designed by someone who needed it to work.
MOLLE Gear, Patches & Training Tools
The heart of the Blackhawk catalog is its S.T.R.I.K.E. nylon line. The STRIKE Gas Mask Carrier in coyote tan is a MOLLE-compatible NyTaneon pouch with Speed Clips for fast attachment, sized to carry a protective mask on any rig — pair it with a mask from our gas masks section. The STRIKE Triple Frag Pouch carries three grenades in a pop-up 500D-nylon pouch with the same Speed Clips. To finish a loadout, the subdued American Flag Patch is a 2″×3″ embroidered hook-and-loop patch that drops onto any panel — browse more in our morale patches. And for trainers and instructors, the safety-orange Glock 17 Demonstrator is a non-firing, glass-filled polymer replica cut to exact Glock 17/22/31 dimensions — perfect for holster fitment and retention drills with your real Glock safely on the bench.
Taming the Remington 870
The heavyweight of the group is the Knoxx SpecOps Gen III stock and forend for the 12-gauge Remington 870. Its dual-stage spring system soaks up a large share of felt recoil, while a six-position adjustable length of pull, a pistol grip, and a Picatinny rail make a defensive 870 fit the shooter instead of the other way around — find it alongside the rest of our Remington 870 parts. Outfitting a rig from the ground up? Blackhawk pairs naturally with patches from Mil-Spec Monkey and packs and apparel from Maxpedition, 5.11 Tactical, and Rothco. Every Blackhawk order ships from Keep Shooting with fast handling and our satisfaction guarantee.
