Kel-Tec
Innovative Firearms Since 1991
No company designs guns quite like Kel-Tec. The Florida innovator built its name on firearms nobody else would dare draw up — and at Keep Shooting we carry three of them: the integrally suppressed, folding SUB CQB 9mm carbine, the bullpup KSG Tactical shotgun, and factory P11 magazines. Two are NFA items, transferred through our licensed Class 3 desk.
About Kel-Tec
Kel-Tec is the firearms world’s great experimenter, and the three pieces we carry at Keep Shooting are pure Kel-Tec — a folding suppressed carbine, a bullpup shotgun, and the magazine for one of its classic pistols. Browse them with the rest of our firearms.
Florida’s House of Firearm Innovation
Kel-Tec was founded in 1991 in Cocoa, Florida by George Kellgren, a Swedish engineer who had already designed firearms for Husqvarna, Swedish Interdynamic, and Grendel. It began life as a small CNC shop making parts for Grendel; when that company closed in the wake of the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban, Kel-Tec pivoted to building its own guns, starting with the P11 pistol in 1995. Ever since, Kel-Tec has been the brand willing to try the idea everyone else thought too strange — the fold-in-half SUB-2000 carbine, the dual-tube KSG bullpup shotgun, the PMR-30, the RDB and RFB bullpup rifles. Love them or scratch your head at them, Kel-Tec’s guns are never boring.
Two NFA Standouts
The SUB CQB takes the famous folding SUB-2000 concept and builds the suppressor right in: an integrally suppressed 9mm carbine with a 16.25″ baffled barrel, a 17+1 capacity on Glock 17 magazines, and a featherweight 5.15-lb package that still folds in half — and because the can is part of the gun, it’s a single-tax-stamp suppressor design. The KSG Tactical is the bullpup pump 12-gauge in its most serious form: a 13.7″-barrel short-barreled shotgun with dual magazine tubes, a built-in 420-lumen light, and full Picatinny rails. Both are National Firearms Act items that we transfer as a licensed Class 3 dealer; run the suppressed carbine quietest with subsonic loads from our suppressor-ready 9mm.
Feeding the P11
For owners of Kel-Tec’s pioneering subcompact 9mm, the factory P11 12-round magazine is a steel-bodied, flush-fit spare (it fits the P15, too) — a smart pickup for any carry pistol owner, and a reminder to keep 9mm ammo on hand. For more in this vein, our integrally suppressed B&T pistols and Mossberg shotguns are worth a look. Every Kel-Tec order ships from Keep Shooting with all firearm and NFA transfers handled to the letter of federal and state law.
