This is the Vz92 jacket issued to the Czechoslovak Army from 1992, cut in the olive drab Vz92 camouflage that was in service for only a few years. It is a light, waist-length work jacket built for daily duty, with a covered button front, two chest pockets and an elastic waist. Collectors of Cold War and post-Cold War Central European kit want it for its short service run. Issue History and Pattern

The Czechoslovak Army introduced the Vz92 uniform in 1992, and the Vz95 woodland pattern replaced it in 1995. That three-year service life is why Vz92 jackets turn up far less often than later Czech issue. The pattern was designed for a work uniform to hide dirt and stains rather than as dedicated combat camouflage, which explains its fine, low-contrast print. Every jacket is genuine government issue made to the army's own specification, the reason collectors and reenactors look for it.
