Doff-It Personal Privacy Kit

Pre-Decon Privacy Kit

The Doff-It Personal Privacy Kit, made by DQE, lets a person strip out of contaminated clothing while staying covered. It is meant for the pre-decon stage, the step before decontamination (washing hazardous material off the body), when clothes have to come off quickly and often in public. A white poncho-style garment goes on over your clothes, you undress underneath it, and everything you remove goes into a bag. Emergency planners, preparedness buyers and anyone assembling a CBRN or hazmat response kit will find it a compact, single-person solution.

Features

• Poncho-Style Privacy Garment — A white garment with arm holes goes on over your clothing so you can undress underneath it without being exposed.
• Orange Clothing Bag — Outer garments, then all remaining clothing, shoes and socks go into a separate orange bag so contaminated items stay contained.
• Personal Items Bag — Keys, phone, wallet and other valuables go into their own bag, which stays with you through the decontamination process.
• Foot Covers Included — White slippers cover your feet once your shoes and socks are bagged.
• Pen And Name Field — A pen is packed in so you can write your name on the bag and keep your belongings identifiable.
• Five-Step Pictogram Instructions — Numbered steps with simple drawings on the back of the packet walk you through the process in order.
• Bilingual English And Spanish — Every instruction is printed in both languages side by side.
• Sealed Single-Person Pack — Each kit comes in a clear sealed pouch, flat and light enough to stack in a go-bag, vehicle or response kit.

How The Kit Is Used

You open the packet, put coats and other outer layers in the orange bag, then pull the white garment on like a large poncho. Arms come inside, you remove the rest of your clothing including undergarments, bag it, put on the slippers and label the bag with your name. You then wait for decontamination instructions from responders. The red DQE packaging carries the full sequence, so you can follow it under stress without any prior training.
