Stretch Base Layer Crew

The Duofold by Champion THERMatrix Men's Crew is a long-sleeve base layer, the layer worn against the skin under your shirt, fleece or jacket. It is cut close to the body from a polyester and spandex knit, so it stays put under other clothing instead of bunching at the waist or riding up the arms. It suits hunters, range shooters, hikers and anyone working outdoors in cold weather who wants a slim first layer under the rest of their kit.

• Polyester And Spandex Knit — Polyester gives the fabric its body and quick-drying character, and spandex adds the stretch that lets it move with you.
• Close Base Layer Fit — The shirt sits snug against the torso and arms, so it layers cleanly under a fitted shirt or jacket without adding bulk.
• Raglan Sleeves — The sleeve seams run diagonally from the underarm to the collar rather than over the top of the shoulder, which keeps seams out of the way of pack and sling straps.
• Thumbhole Cuffs — A slot at each cuff lets you hook your thumbs through, so the sleeves stay down over your wrists when you pull on a jacket or gloves.
• Textured Knit Zones — Sections of the body and sides use a visibly open, mesh-like knit that differs from the smoother main fabric.
• Crew Neckline — A plain round collar sits low enough to wear under a collared shirt or zip-neck layer.
• Printed Neck Tape — The inside of the collar carries a printed Duofold and Warm CTRL tape around the neckline.

Fabric And Fit

The polyester and spandex blend is a synthetic knit, so it does not hold water the way cotton does and is better suited to wear against the skin in cold, active conditions. The cut is slim and stretchy, meant to fit close rather than hang loose. Wear it alone on cool days or as the bottom layer under insulation and a shell when the temperature drops.
