Perfect for My Cold War NVA Impression KitOkay so i've been building a late-1980s NVA officer impression for a Cold War milsim event my team is running later this year, and this medal was literally the last piece i needed to finish the service dress uniform loadout. The size and weight feel completely right on the chest not some lightweight stamped tin like you'd get from a costume shop. The ribbon colors are accurate to what you see in reference photos from the DDR era, and the bronze tone of the medal itself photographs really well under event lighting. I cross-referenced it against a set sold over at GermanDotMilitaria that included the Bronze, Silver, and Gold in original boxes, and the detail on this individual medal matches perfectly. Came in way better condition than i expected for surplus honestly showed less wear than i wanted for a 'veteran soldier' look, so i'll age it slightly myself. Some of the guys on my team had doubts that i could source a legit one at a reasonable price but here we are. If you're doing any kind of DDR, Grenztruppen, or Volksmarine impression this is a must-have for the rack.
