NVA wool jacketI'm pretty impressed. The wool is genuine not the commercial Mil-Tec reproduction stuff you see all over Amazon and the nylon lining is intact on mine which is a good sign it wasn't stored rough. Buttons are all original with the NVA styling and the grey-green color is spot on for a service jacket. Build quality is what you'd expect from late Cold War East German manufacture heavy duty stitching, slightly stiff out of the box.
Genuine NVA surplus wool, not a reproduction
Great value compared to other surplus dealersEuropean sizing runs small order up if unsure

Best vintage find Ive gotten onlineThis is seriously one of my favorite purchases I ever made and I wear it ALL the time now. Grabbed it for camping with the guys last month and it performed better than I expected, kept me warm and the pockets are deep which is awesome for storing stuff. The buttons are solid metal and everything about it screams quality construction from back in the day. If I had to nitpick the color is a bit darker than the online photos showed but honestly I like it better in person anyway.
Seams are built to last
Color appears darker in person than in product photos

Got this for my brother, fits greatOrdered the medium for my brother who collects military surplus stuff and he absolutly loves it. The jacket has that proper East German look with the buttons and patches (he wouldnt shut up about the lining actually) and seems well made enough for everyday wear around the farm too.

Genuine NVA IssueThe 100% wool outer is textbook late-issue Strichtarn-era quality and the grey shade is spot-on for a Dienstuniform not the washed-out pale you sometimes see on badly-stored surplus. Nylon lining is intact and clean, all buttons are original (not replacements), and the collar insignia loops are still sewn in place. Mine came with the tailor's label still attached which is a huge bonus for provenance. Only minor gripe is there's a faint storage crease across the back that'll need a proper steam press, and one epaulet button is just slightly off-center from factory stitching totally normal for NVA production runs. Way better condition than the Thunderhead Outfitters listing I was watching, tbh, and this one was cheaper too.

Unique and stylish jacketI bought this jacket purely as a fashion piece and I absolutely love the way it looks. The cut and design have a sharp military aesthetic that stands out from anything you would find in a regular clothing store. The wool is high quality and feels like it was built to last another thirty years easily. The nylon lining makes it slide on and off smoothly which I really appreciate. I gave it four stars only because the jacket I received looked slightly different from the listing photo but the description does warn that items may vary so that is fair.
