This is a genuine East German Army flap holster cut for the Makarov PM pistol, made in white leather for parade and ceremonial dress rather than field use. The full flap closes over the pistol and secures with a single stud, protecting the whole sidearm when worn with dress uniform. A sewn-on sleeve along the front carries a spare magazine. It belongs on the belt of anyone building an NVA (Nationale Volksarmee, the East German armed forces) dress rig, or collecting Cold War Warsaw Pact leather.
