Zastava Arms Serbian AK47 Krinkov - Short-Barreled Rifle

Compact Krinkov-Pattern AK

The Zastava Arms ZPAP92 Krinkov is a short-barreled AK in 7.62x39mm, built for shooters who want the full-power AK cartridge in the smallest practical package. The Krinkov layout, named for the compact AKS-74U carbine, puts a short barrel and a folding stock on a standard AK receiver, so the rifle handles well inside vehicles, buildings and tight storage. It suits AK owners adding a compact configuration and NFA buyers who want a factory-built short-barreled rifle from a long-standing AK maker.

Features

• 7.62x39mm Chambering — The receiver is marked MDL ZPAP92 CAL 7.62X39MM, the original AK cartridge, which is widely available and accepts standard AK-pattern magazines.
• Short-Barreled Rifle Configuration — A short barrel combined with a shoulder stock makes this a short-barreled rifle (SBR), the compact category regulated under the National Firearms Act.
• Triangle Folding Stock — A tubular steel triangle stock hinges at the rear of the receiver, so the rifle can be shouldered or folded down for transport and storage.
• Cheek Rest And Rubber Buttpad — A padded comb along the top of the stock gives a steadier cheek weld, and a textured rubber buttpad keeps the stock from slipping off the shoulder.
• Krinkov-Style Muzzle Device — A cylindrical expansion chamber ends in a flared, slotted flash hider, the device that defines the Krinkov look on short AK barrels.
• Top Accessory Rail — A short Picatinny rail, the standard slotted mount for optics and lights, sits on top of the receiver for a red dot or similar compact sight.
• Classic AK Iron Sights — A tangent rear sight on the receiver and a hooded front post near the muzzle give a working sight picture without any optic fitted.
• Two-Position Safety Selector — The side-mounted lever is marked SAFE and FIRE, and a cut-out in the receiver lets the shooter work the charging handle with the safety engaged.
• Ribbed Pistol Grip — A black polymer grip with horizontal ribs gives a secure hold with or without gloves.
• Black Furniture Throughout — The handguard, grip, stock fittings and magazine are all black, matching the dark finish on the receiver.

Build And Legal Notes

The receiver carries the Zastava Arms USA, Des Plaines, IL import marking along with the model and calibre, and the bolt carrier shows a bright finish against the dark receiver. The rifle is pictured with a black polymer AK-pattern magazine. Because it is a short-barreled rifle, transfer requires an approved ATF Form 4 and tax stamp, so check your federal, state and local regulations before ordering.
