Select-Fire M4 Carbine

The Full Auto M4 is a select-fire carbine in the US M4A1 configuration, chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO. It was designed as a shorter alternative to the full-length M16 for roles where a long rifle gets in the way. Select-fire means one rifle offers both semi-automatic fire, one shot per trigger pull, and fully automatic fire. Because it fires full auto, the National Firearms Act classes it as a machine gun, and it is sold only to qualified law enforcement, government and military end users.

Features

• Safe, Fire and Auto Selector — The lower receiver is marked SAFE, FIRE and AUTO, and the M4A1 trigger group keeps the same trigger pull in semi and full auto.
• 5.56x45mm NATO Chambering — It fires the standard US and NATO rifle cartridge and feeds from the AR-pattern box magazine shown fitted in the photograph.
• MIL-SPEC Flat-Top Upper — The upper receiver is built to the military's own published standard and has a Picatinny rail, a standardized slotted mount for optics and accessories.
• Carry Handle Rear Sight — A carry handle on the upper holds an adjustable aperture rear sight with an elevation drum for iron-sight shooting at distance.
• A-Frame Front Sight Post — The triangular front sight base carries the front post and a sling swivel, with a birdcage-style flash hider at the muzzle.
• Collapsible Stock — The stock slides along the buffer tube to set length of pull, the distance from trigger to buttplate, for different shooters or for wear over body armor.
• Ribbed Polymer Handguards — Round ribbed handguards give a firm grip around the barrel and keep the support hand clear of it.
• Heavier M4A1 Barrel — The M4A1 uses a heavier barrel profile than the standard M4 carbine.
• M16 Parts Commonality — More than 80% of its parts are shared with the M16A2 rifle, which simplifies armorer support and spares.

M4A1 Service Lineage

The US military adopted the M4A1 in 1994 to replace certain M16 rifles, and it differs from the standard M4 by trading three-round burst for a fully automatic setting. This carbine follows that specification: black finish throughout, forward assist, ejection port dust cover, sling points front and rear, and a pistol grip on the lower. As an NFA-regulated machine gun, transfer is limited to accredited law enforcement agencies, government and military buyers with the required paperwork.
