Frag Pattern Thread Cap

A threaded barrel leaves its muzzle threads exposed whenever the suppressor or muzzle device comes off, and those threads are easy to ding, foul or fill with grit. The Backup Tactical Frag Thread Protector screws on in their place to cover them. It is a small black aluminum cap cut for 1/2x28 threads, sized for the many 9mm and .22LR pistols and .223 Remington rifles that use that pattern.

Fit And Construction

Thread pitch decides compatibility here, not caliber. A 1/2x28 barrel will accept this protector whether it is chambered in 9mm, .22LR or .223 Remington. The body is CNC machined from aluminum alloy and finished in black, and the open front lets the cap sit flush over the threads without blocking the bore.
