The French Army F2 uniform has been the standard duty uniform and continues to serve. With the French Army serving all around the world in current and former French territories, there remains a need for both combat and non-combat style uniforms. With these olive drab French F2 jackets, soldiers could quickly respond to situations where full battle combat jackets would not be effective or appropriate.
These jackets are exceptional in all areas from the quality, design, and features. You put on one of these jackets and you can tell you are wearing a jacket that is going to last you for a few years. The materials are heavy duty, the jacket buttons up, and every stitch is placed professionally. With a design that blends the best of shirts with the best of jackets, you'll find this jacket will quickly become your new favorite. Wear it with combat pants, blue jeans, khakis, or any other type of pants and you'll find it looks perfectly matched with all of them.

This jacket, which seems to only be available in two sizes, is brand-new and unused. The material is a relatively thick cotton blend sateen very similar to the old US Army OG-107 fatigues. The jacket is not really intended to be a cold weather coat to be worn over anything thick but is more like a combat shirt. That accounts for the fit that seems too small for the size. I'm 6'1" and about 175 and the fit is just about perfect (all my fatigues in the army were on the short size). It has a button front and an elasticated waistband that is thankfully not too tight. It also has one of those silly gas flaps at the neck. I saw a fair number of people wearing these surplus "vests" as jackets when we were in Paris year before last but they were the older style with lower pockets.
