K98 Pattern Leather Sling
This United Defense sling follows the layout of the German Mauser K98 rifle sling, with a single brown leather strap, a metal claw adjuster and leather keepers. It suits K98 owners who want a period-correct carry strap without putting an original sling at risk, and reenactors who need their kit to look right. A sling lets you carry the rifle on your shoulder and keep your hands free on the walk to the range or the field.
Features
- Brown Leather Strap — The strap is cut from thick leather with a smooth outer face and a rough, suede-like inner side, as the photos show.
- Metal Claw Adjuster — A bright metal claw, held by two dark rivets, hooks into slots punched along the strap so you can set the sling length.
- Stud-And-Keeper End — A black domed stud passes through a slotted hole to lock the folded end of the strap after it is looped through the stock.
- Leather Keepers — Sliding leather loops hold the loose tail of the strap flat against the main length so it does not flap.
- Stitched Folds — White thread stitching closes the folded sections of the strap where it doubles back on itself.
- Punched Adjustment Slots — A row of elongated slots along the strap gives the claw several positions to choose from.
- K98 Layout — The strap uses the traditional German two-point arrangement, running from the rear stock slot to the front sling swivel.
Fit And Attachment
The sling is made for the Mauser K98, where one end feeds through the slot in the buttstock and fastens back on itself with the stud, and the other end passes through the front swivel and is secured with the claw. If your rifle has a different sling mount, check that the strap will pass through it before you buy. The leather is supplied in a natural brown finish, and like any leather strap it will soften and darken with handling and occasional conditioning.

Perfect for my husbands MauserBought this as a gift for my husband who has been restoring an old Mauser and he LOVED it. He slapped it on right away and it really completed the whole vintage look he was going for. The leather has a nice texture and the color matches the stock pretty well. It did have a little extra leather sticking out at one of the seams that I trimmed off with scissors but nothing major.
Would buy again no questions asked.

Does what its supposed toNice reproduction sling I bought this for my G43 build and it fits perfect. The steel hardware is solid and the leather has that late war look I was going for. I was worried about it being too short but at 120cm it works great for slinging the rifle over my shoulder. One thing I noticed is the leather smells like a new leather belt at first lol but that goes away after a few days. For the price you cant beat it especially if you're putting together a WWII collection on a budget.
