Genuine GST, great conditionCollect East German awards and this was missing from my GST section. Medal arrived in excellent condition bronze finish intact, no major scratches, ribbon is original and unfaded. The GST emblem is crisp, the "Ausbilder" designation is clearly struck. The reverse has the typical GST maker mark, consistent with period production. Ribbon is the correct orange and black pattern for instructor level. Mine came in a simple plastic sleeve, no presentation case, which is fine for the price. For $5 it's a fair price for a genuine piece of GDR history. The GST is fascinating basically a paramilitary boy scouts for adults that taught shooting, flying, driving, all the skills the NVA would need later. This medal represents someone who trained others to those standards.
