KA-BAR USSF Corser Folding Knife

<span>I was maybe gonna purchase a Dozier but then saw the Space Force items and had to go with a Courser. With the cool color scheme, blade coating, and moon rocks handle texture, it's a literal Space Force. Awesome, especially if they don't make many more. Semper Supra!</span>

<span>OK, I'll start out by saying one hobby of mine is collecting unusual and unique (mostly folding) knives, and I prefer usable knives over something to just look at. I like to buy them cheap, with the hopes that someday, they will gain some collector value, but if not, I like to be able to give them to my kids or nephews as gifts. I will say, this is a well made knife, smooth opening/closing, with a solid lock, and very good worksmanship. I'd put it on par with what you'd expect from a reputation knife company like Ka-Bar. Note, this is not a tactical or combat knife made for fighting off Grizzly Bears, but is actually a very practical knife. Comfortable to use, and with decent blade steel for the price (this is not a high end wonder steel, but rather a decent steel at a reasonable price). When I got it, the price was discounted when compared to a comparable 'standard' knife of similar size and quality. I am not sure whether Ka-Bar makes an identical knife with other handle colors, or not. However, if it is still at a discount, and you don't mind the 'space blue' handle, it is a great deal. One thing for sure, no one will grab this knife by mistake, I've never seen another quite this color, except for other Ka-Bar Space Force knives. I give it 4 stars because it is not a premium knife, but it is very good, especially for the price. If it were USA made with a bit better steel, I'd give it 5 stars.</span>

<span>I wanted a knife that would function in space as well as on earth. The kbar space force knife made that happen for me. Whether I’m making a pointy stick on earth or cutting up a nasty alien. This knife never fails me. Small enough to carry anywhere, but mighty enough to protect the people on planet earth. Run, don’t walk and get one before it’s too late.</span>

<span>Sometimes extra weight/heft is good on certain blade styles, but I wish this knife was like the Ka-bar Dozier with no steel liners. It would be GREAT if it was made like the Dozier. Steel liners on a FRN knife should not be considered by the manufacturer unless the are going to spend the time and money to mill them out. These liners are not skeletonized so they are REALLY heavy. If you like the lightweight Doziers you will not like this. Also the blade wasn't centered which I don't normally care about on 100% FRN knives. But knives with liners should be centered. Color was pretty cool. Ergos are great with a palm swell and a nice choke up. But its not a thruster by any means for you tacticool guys. Wasn't hair popping sharp out of the box. I sent it back. Too bad... I knew it when I felt the weight of the box before I even opened it.</span>

<span>I have a few other KA-BAR's in the Space Force line and had to pick this up to complete the set. Im not a fan of back locks but this one is done extremely well.</span>
