Built Like a Tank, Looks Sharp in KhakiOkay so I've owned probably a dozen tactical packs over the years everything from the 5.11 RUSH 24 to various CamelBak setups and this Condor II might be my favorite from a design standpoint. The 1000-denier nylon with the Teflon coating has this matte finish that photographs really well and doesn't look as "tacti-cool" as some of the black MOLLE-heavy options out there. The khaki colorway is honestly more of a warm tan in person, slightly different from the product photo but in a good way... it's more muted and earthy. Stitching is impeccable, double and triple reinforced at every stress point. The amount of PALS webbing on this thing is insane compared to other Maxpedition packs, but the way they laid it out keeps it looking clean and intentional rather than cluttered. One thing I really appreciate is the YKK zippers smooth pull every single time, no snagging. The drape of the pack when it's loaded sits tight against your back which gives it a sleek profile instead of that bulging mushroom look you get with cheaper packs.
