The Maxpedition Typhoon is a small, tightly organized nylon backpack for carrying a day's worth of essentials without the bulk of a full assault pack. At 14 x 11 x 6.5 in, it works as an everyday carry bag, a get-home bag kept in the truck, or a light kit for range days and short hikes. External webbing and side pockets keep tools within reach, so you are not digging through the main compartment for a flashlight.

• MOLLE-Compatible Webbing — Rows of stitched nylon loops on the front and sides let you attach pouches, clips and accessories wherever you want them.
• Two Front Zippered Compartments — An upper and a lower pocket sit on the front panel, giving you separate spaces for small items.
• Central Compression Strap — A vertical strap with a side-release buckle runs down the front to cinch the load and hold the front pockets secure.
• Hook-and-Loop Panels — Fabric strips across the lower front accept morale patches or name tapes.
• Side Pockets — One side has an open-top sleeve with a hook-and-loop retention flap sized for a flashlight, and a small zippered pouch below it.

Size And Carry

The Typhoon measures 14 in tall, 11 in wide and 6.5 in deep (35.6 x 27.9 x 16.5 cm). That keeps it small enough for daily commuting while leaving room for a first aid kit, a spare layer, water and food. Expansion comes from the outside: the MOLLE webbing, side pockets and bottom straps let you add capacity as the job requires.
