Awesome Gas Mask. The Cool Guys have this Mask! Seriously.These days, there is so much crazy pollution and dust in the environment, it pays to have the best equipment for staying healthy. You will find these things at Black Friday prices all over Amazon this holiday season. For a fraction of the usual cost, get the MIRG-2B or 2C Mask with the "Particulate Air System" Filter Assembly included, and for the price of ONE gas mask alone elsewhere, you can buy TWO of these masks from Amazon. This is what the world's Special Forces soldiers and Special Operation Teams wear. They trust it. I do too. I also use these while shooting in and around lead-contaminated buildings (ie - the range) so I can get the gunk off and not ingest anything. The filter can also serve as an extra filter in an emergency situation. In fact, the US Government considers masks like this the #1 self-defense equipment you can have. They make gas masks and radiation masks, but these MIRG's (which means "Mini Individual Respiratory Mask Group") have it all: High levels of radiation, nuclear contamination, biological weapons, chemicals, you name it. These MIRG's were also the primary mask used by the troops in Operation Iraqi Freedom. When we buy them on Amazon, the Army is getting the same mask at the same price we are. (If they can, you can too!) In all my days in the military, I was only issued this style mask, because these things are indestructible. The face plate is clear so you can look around if you want, but can be quickly darkened with an opaque filter to protect your eyes and keep out any nasty bugs or microbes you may find yourself encountering. This thing even works in sub-zero temperatures. Aside from that...it just works! These things were made to last. The fact that they are so cool is just a bonus. Get yours now! You'll be glad you did! Hopefully i never have to use this!So, if things were getting that bad, hopefully I'll be ok. I live in Alaska and have read that the best way to prepare for radiation is to take large doses of iodine. Hopefully I'll never need to test it out.

For anyone looking for the GI Spec mask. These are made to meet military specification MIL-M-4040J.Excellent price for the highest grade MIL-M-4040J military specification gas mask filter canisters. MOS-27A canisters are far superior than CX-54 canisters. Excellent quality sealed in bags. These were brand new. If you’re looking for a gas mask, don’t be cheap and look at 3M Military CX-54 canisters, they are garbage. A CX-54 filters the oxygen to a lower purity level than a standard paint filter. The price is for 2, a bit pricey, but if one of them were to fail due to storage conditions that is a price I’m willing to pay to not have to get in my emergency situation, not knowing what the air quality is and potentially running out of air. If you are an prepper and don’t have one yet, this is a great place to start!
