PPU 30 Carbine Ammo 110 Grain Jacketed Soft Point

30 Carbine Soft Point

PPU Rifle Line 30 Carbine loads a 110 grain jacketed soft point, round nose bullet into brass cases, 50 cartridges to the box. It is built for owners of rifles and handguns chambered in .30 Carbine, including the M1 Carbine, who want a load that expands on impact rather than a full metal jacket practice round. Shooters who hunt with their carbine and those who want one box that works for both range time and the field will find it fits both jobs.

Features

• .30 Carbine Caliber — Loaded for firearms chambered in .30 Carbine, the cartridge developed for the US M1 Carbine.
• 110 Grain Bullet — The projectile weighs 110 grains (7.1 g), the standard bullet weight for this cartridge.
• Jacketed Soft Point — A copper jacket covers the bullet except for an exposed lead tip, which mushrooms on impact to transfer more energy to the target.
• Round Nose Profile — The rounded ogive, marked SP RN on the box, feeds smoothly from magazines built around the original round nose loading.
• Muzzle Velocity Around 1,990 FPS — Published figures put velocity at roughly 1,990 to 2,001 feet per second, depending on barrel length.
• 976 Ft-Lbs Muzzle Energy — Rated energy at the muzzle is 976 foot-pounds.
• Boxer-Primed Brass Cases — The single central flash hole of a Boxer primer means spent cases can be decapped and reloaded.
• Non-Corrosive Primers — The primers leave no corrosive salts in the bore, so routine cleaning is all the rifle needs after a session.
• 50 Rounds Per Box — Each PPU Rifle Line box holds 50 centerfire rifle cartridges.

Rifle Line Construction

The cartridges are newly manufactured by PPU as part of its Rifle Line range. Each one uses a brass case, a non-corrosive Boxer primer and a copper-jacketed bullet with a dark exposed lead tip, as the photographs show. Check that your firearm is marked for .30 Carbine before loading, and confirm local hunting regulations on caliber and bullet type for the game you plan to take.
