M1 Carbine 1943 Mag Pouch
The M1 Carbine 1943 Mag Pouch is commonly known as the M1 Carbine Buttstock Magazine Pouch. This magazine pouch was originally designed to fit onto a pistol belt and hold two 15-round M1 Carbine magazines. Once it was issued to soldiers in the war, they quickly realized that it could fit over the buttstock of their M1 Carbine allowing for easier access to loaded magazines.
The M1 Carbine 1943 Magazine Pouch is the most popular accessory for the M1 Carbine after extra magazines. No other accessory is as synonymous to the M1 Carbine than this magazine pouch, as most pictures from the war show the M1 Carbine fitted with this magazine pouch on the buttstock. It was important to soldiers that this magazine pouch was close at hand to assure quick and easy magazine changes.
This reproduction M1 Carbine magazine pouch is based on the original 1943 style magazine pouch as made by Kadin. We have worked to produce a historically accurate version of this important magazine pouch. What we have also done is ensured that these magazine pouches were made to be able to actually hold two 15-round magazines, even when the pouch has been installed onto the M1 carbine stock. Virtually all of the other reproduction magazine pouches will not allow the magazines to be inserted fully when the pouch is installed. Other companies want to produce this magazine pouch as cheap as possible, we want to produce it to match the original in both looks and function.
