ProMag Ruger 10/22 Drum Magazine - 55-Round

The ProMag Ruger 10/22 Drum Magazine holds 55 rounds of .22 LR in a compact round housing that seats in the standard 10/22 magazine well. It also fits the Ruger 22 Charger pistol and will feed .17 Mach 2. The shell is lightweight polycarbonate polymer with textured side plates, and a heat-treated chrome silicon spring drives an injection-molded polymer follower. ProMag makes it in the USA and backs it with a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. It is a good fit for 10/22 owners who plink, train or shoot steel and want long strings of fire without stopping to swap the factory 10-round rotary magazine.

Description

55-Round 10/22 Drum

This ProMag drum magazine holds 55 rounds of .22 LR for the Ruger 10/22 rifle and the Ruger 22 Charger pistol. A drum stores its cartridges in a coiled path inside a round housing, so it carries far more than the factory 10-round rotary magazine without sticking out like a long stick mag. It suits plinkers and range shooters who would rather spend their time shooting than reloading.

Features

  • 55-Round Capacity — Holds 55 cartridges of .22 Long Rifle, more than five times the standard 10/22 magazine.
  • Ruger 10/22 And 22 Charger Fit — The feed tower is shaped to lock into the magazine well of most 10/22 rifles and the 22 Charger pistol.
  • Polycarbonate Polymer Housing — The lightweight shell is molded in a smoke-tinted translucent polymer with textured black side plates for grip.
  • Chrome Silicon Wire Spring — The heat-treated chrome silicon spring is chosen because it holds its tension better than plain steel wire over repeated loading.
  • Injection-Molded Follower — The follower, the part that pushes each round up toward the chamber, is molded from polymer for smooth travel through the drum.
  • Steel Pin Feed Tower — A steel pin reinforces the boxy feed tower that seats in the rifle and presents rounds to the bolt.
  • Also Feeds .17 Mach 2 — The magazine will also run .17 Mach 2, which shares the .22 LR case dimensions.
  • Made In USA — The side plate carries a molded ProMag Made in USA marking.

Fit and Construction

ProMag builds this drum from polycarbonate polymer, which keeps the weight down on a rifle that is light to begin with. It fits most Ruger 10/22 models and the 22 Charger, and the manufacturer covers it with a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. Check that your rifle uses the standard 10/22 magazine well before ordering, since some aftermarket stocks and receivers change that fit.

Took this out to the range last weekend and had an absolute blast dumping 55 rounds through my 10/22 without stopping. The polycarbonate body feels solid and its lighter than I expected which is nice. Loading it takes a minute since you gotta use the ratchet style push and turn method but once you get the hang of it its not bad. honestly for the price and the fun factor this thing is AWESOME.

Holds 55 rounds so you can shoot forever without reloading

Loading takes some getting used to with the ratchet mechanism
